Who has seen the new “Practice Race” format The Wick 338 is having a few times this year?
Here’s the explanation from their website:
“You asked for it, and now it’s here—a true race-style practice session designed to give MX competitors more seat time, real gate drops, and valuable experience before race day. Unlike a standard open practice, this event lets you sign up for multiple classes (as many as you’re eligible for) while paying just one entry fee—$50 plus gate ($15). No club affiliation or license is required, and you’ll get more 15-minute motos than a typical practice session. Want lap times? If you have a transponder, your results will be posted. Not feeling race mode? No problem—roll the gate and ride at your own pace. With classes from 85cc to Vet 40+, this is the perfect way to fine-tune your skills and get more bang for your practice buck. Don’t miss out—get the full race experience at The Wick 338!”
What’re your thoughts on this style of practice? Would you like to see other tacks offer Practice Race’s?
